In the past a hydrophilic cloth were used as a diaper. Due to the soft and absorbent fabric it is a perfect washable diaper for your baby. That is where the name comes from. However, today we still use hydrophilic cloths as diapers but, also in many other ways. That is why we call it a hydrophilic cloth these days. In the past you could only find white ones however, there are many more colours available.
